# Studio Billing

**Studio Billing** is the account-level product: credits, agents, workflows, flows, sequences, users, and knowledge bases against the plan limits. This is separate from [Max Billing](/docs/concepts/max/billing), which is seats and capability licenses for the personal assistant.

Buying, changing, or cancelling the Studio plan is done in the app. The Public API reads the current plan, usage, and credit consumption history.

`GET /billing` accepts an account API key. Usage (`GET /billing/usage`) requires a USER API key.

## What usage reports

- Credits used vs the monthly limit.
- Counts of agents, workflows, flows, sequences, users, and knowledge bases against plan limits.
- Current plan, subscription details, and any scheduled plan change (`next`).


`usage.sequences` is the count of currently `LIVE` sequences; `limits.sequencesLimit` is the max allowed by the plan. Draft sequences do not count — only publishing is gated (a 402 `upgrade_required` on publish when you are over the limit).

Credit history is one entry per day per AI model: `date`, `model`, `modelName`, `totalCredits`, `messageCount`. Filter with `start_date` and `end_date` (ISO dates).
